Worship lite!

Summer Sundays in the Heritage Chapel
Beginning Sunday, June 3, we will have another opportunity to worship on Sunday mornings.  We will gather at 9:15 a.m. in the Heritage Chapel for music, a devotional, and communion. This short, casual service may be just the right way for you to start your day and week.  Come and experience God’s renewing grace in this ancient space.

Summer Festival of Preaching
This summer we have a rare opportunity to hear from leading voices in our region.  Several guests will be filling the pulpit at Azle Christian Church beginning with The Rev. Megan Peglar.  She currently serves in the UNT Health Sciences System.  Rev. Peglar has led numerous workshops and seminars including the CCSW women’s retreat, and most recently served River Oaks Christian Church.  She’s familiar with our church, participating in our “Holy Guacamole” Bible Studies and our Lenten Devotional series.
The following week, June 17th, our new Regional Minister, the Rev. Dr. Andy Mangum will preach. Dr. Mangum has served churches in this region for over 20 years and brings a passion for the gospel to everything he does.  Later in the summer we’ll be led by Don Tatlock, who served as a missionary for several years in Central America, and the Rev. Matthew Hudman, one of our church Timothys who currently serves Memorial Drive Christian Church in Houston.  This will be a tremendous summer of inspiration and growth.

Each week will bring a different voice of encouragement and celebration.
Make planes to be present every Sunday.

The group is large, but due to age and health, only about 5 are able to meet on Wednesdays.

If you feel you would want to be part of this group, whether in person or on the email list to pray from home, please contact Eileen at tidwellent@verizon.net, or Dollene at (817) 723-4246, or (817) 444-4127.

The group meets Wednesday mornings at 9:30 in the Seekers Classroom, with pot luck brunch.

We have a large number of folks who stay updated by email and pray from home. Some of them from as far away as Colorado!

Thank you.

New Tutoring Program

Azle Christian Church is beginning a new program to help the students and teachers of Silvercreek Elementary School.  We will be tutoring individuals or very small groups to help them prepare for the STAAR test during and after school.

We need lots of caring adults and high schoolers to help in this vital community service. You do not need an education background to be a part of this program, just a love of children.  Please contact Holly Davis at 817-937-2103 with questions or to volunteer.

(A current Azle ISD background check is required.)

Financial Peace

We will begin our Financial Peace University on January 21.  This is the perfect time to help you dig out from under the Christmas debt and make a fresh start for the new year.  5:00 pm on Sundays, Child care provided.

“Live like no one else, so later you can LIVE and GIVE like no one else”

We are offering a discount on the workbooks to the first ten people (or couples) who sign up for the class.  Contact the church office to reserve your space.
